  • New publications: Halbach et al. on glacier algae on the Greenland Ice Sheet; Waldrop et al. on permafrost microbiology; Roy et al. on antimicrobial resistance Arctic soils; Cimpoiasu et al on year-round Arctic soil geophysics.
  • Goodbye to Zhou, Adam and Margaret, who finish their postdocs at QMUL.
  • James and Laura are in Svalbard for the SIESTA and HFSP projects.
  • Eloi presents HFSP research at LCB.
  • Catherine Larose and her team visit Marseille for SIESTA - Paleo-MARE meetings.
  • James is in Antarctica, as co-chief scientist for the SD049 Antarctic winter-time cruise onboard the RRS Sir David Attenborough, for the WINTER-AIR/HFSP projects.
  • We welcome Begum Kasapli as a Masters intern working with James and Eloi on the HFSP aerobiology project.
  • James at the Assemblée Nationale in Paris for the Arctic, Antarctic, TAAF and Deep Oceans Study Group.
